The Police Athletic League, established in 1958, has provided a safe place for the youth of the Norwin and surrounding communities to learn sports and sportsmanship. PAL Norwin is the largest baseball/softball organization in the Norwin community. We are excited to be entering our 60th year at PAL and are honored to offer Baseball, Softball, Fastpitch Softball,  and Competition Cheerleading at our proudly maintained six field, lighted complex, where baseball and softball home games are played, complete with restroom facilities, a fully functional concession stand and large meeting room.

PAL has a very competitive in-house Baseball, Slow-pitch Softball and Fast-pitch Softball program.

The flood of 2009 completely wiped out our complex, but 2010 brought forth many changes.  Our Shafton complex received many improvements.  All six in-fields have been professionally upgraded, our concession area has been renovated, and the complex looks better than ever!

PAL has watched boys and girls from 5 years old to 19 years old grow up and bring their own boys and girls back to PAL to learn the joy of athletic competition and create friendships that will last a lifetime. You and your children can also experience the joy of PAL today.

Dear P.A.L.,

I just wanted to thank you-everyone who so generously contributed baseball equipment  for our mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  We were able to use your gift as an avenue to show children and adult leaders that they are cared about.

Your baseball equipment was able to be given to multiple children as well as leaders of schools/orphanages to distribute to children they know would benefit the most. One of my favorite places that the children received the equipment was at an orphanage with children that have HIV. You can see from the pictures how excited they were. The one boy immediately began putting on the catcher's gear- it was very precious.

The missionary couple of another orphanage, Jackie's House,  was very grateful to receive equipment for their children. We were just sent photos of the kids playing baseball with it. This wonderful couple also was given baseball equipment to take to the nearby garbage dump where children live and literally pick through the dump for food. She and her husband will take the baseball equipment to play with the children there and then will take it home with them each time, so that they can be sure that nothing happens to it and that all of the children get a chance to play. I am positive that these kids will LOVE this opportunity.

I sincerely appreciate the efforts that were made to make all of this possible. Words cannot express fully what a wonderful outpouring such as this means to those who have very little, especially in a place where baseball is held in such high regard.

On behalf of our mission team please accept our gratitude and thanks!
