Activities

Adaptive

PAL Norwin's Adaptive Baseball League gives everyone a chance to play ball regardless of their ability or disability. The league will be non-competitive and will involve a limited time commitment and limited playing schedule.

We offer an opportunity for disabled children, ages 5-21 to participate fully in sports. For safety reasons each player is accompanied by a "buddy" who helps the athlete hit, field and run/walk/wheel the bases.

A special group of children and their families benefit from this program. More skills than baseball are learned through the experience. There is value in the therapeutic and socialization benefits of participating in sports, the strengthening of participants' self esteem, the opportunities to mainstream into other divisions of play in the future and the disciplines of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play. The greatest need of these kids, like all kids, is to belong to a team and have fun.

All games will be played on the RED, BLUE, PURPLE  & TAN fields at the PAL Complex in Shafton!

The greatest need of these special Kids, like all kids is to belong to a team and HAVE FUN!  This is where you come in . . . . Sign-up to be a part of our special league . . . . We need coacnes, team buddy coordinators, team helpers and fans! All of our games are Played on Sundays at the PAL Complex in Shafton.

*We will attempt to notify you by 3:00 if the game is canceled due to rain. Please check your email if it is raining!
