WELCOME TO PAL NORWIN

ABOUT_
Since 1958 The Police Athletic League of North Huntingdon Township in Pennsylvania has provided a safe place for the youth of the Norwin School Distract as well as surrounding communities to learn sports and sportsmanship. It is a non-profit organization made possible entirely by volunteers and sponsors. The six field lighted complex - complete with restroom facilities, concession stand, 2 large parking areas and meeting room - offers competitive in-house baseball, slow-pitch softball, fast-pitch softball & competition cheer-leading.

PAL Norwin also offers travel metro baseball, fall-ball league, Senior league play, Adaptive play and All-Star tournaments for various age groups. Every fall PAL Norwin also hosts an adult 1-pitch softball tournament. There is truly something for everyone!

PAL Norwin celebrated it’s 60th Anniversary Year in April of 2018 - inviting players and their families to enjoy kids games, food and activities while welcoming and preparing for the spring season of play.

PAL Norwin has watched boys and girls from 5 years old to 19 years old grow up and -in turn-bring their own boys and girls back to PAL to learn the joy of athletic competition. This is a testament to the strength of a community and these are the friendships that will last a lifetime. PAL Norwin invites you and your children to experience the joy of competitive sports.

Our fields are located at 1 Bridge St. in North Huntingdon, PA, 15642.

Highlights_
Dear P.A.L.,

I just wanted to thank you-everyone who so generously contributed baseball equipment  for our mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  We were able to use your gift as an avenue to show children and adult leaders that they are cared about.

Your baseball equipment was able to be given to multiple children as well as leaders of schools/orphanages to distribute to children they know would benefit the most. One of my favorite places that the children received the equipment was at an orphanage with children that have HIV. You can see from the pictures how excited they were. The one boy immediately began putting on the catcher's gear- it was very precious.

The missionary couple of another orphanage, Jackie's House,  was very grateful to receive equipment for their children. We were just sent photos of the kids playing baseball with it. This wonderful couple also was given baseball equipment to take to the nearby garbage dump where children live and literally pick through the dump for food. She and her husband will take the baseball equipment to play with the children there and then will take it home with them each time, so that they can be sure that nothing happens to it and that all of the children get a chance to play. I am positive that these kids will LOVE this opportunity.

I sincerely appreciate the efforts that were made to make all of this possible. Words cannot express fully what a wonderful outpouring such as this means to those who have very little, especially in a place where baseball is held in such high regard.

On behalf of our mission team please accept our gratitude and thanks!

Blessings,
Jody Beatty
